"TULIPS" BRAIDED BELT Fascinated by fabric processing and not widely known expertise, Cotélac regularly stops beside Lake Atitlán, in south-eastern Guatemala. For several years, it has entrusted the local weavers with the production of braided belts, inspired by the Tocoyal, a traditional headdress worn by Mayan Tzutuhil women. Produced on small looms, the Tocoyal consists of an 8-metre long braided band, which the women wrap around their head.
